In this
Esras documentary, Hollywood actor Martin Sheen traces the
life of St. Paul of the Cross, founder of the Passionists,
in Castellazzo in the North of Italy. This is the place that
Paul had a vision of the Cross and Heart with the name of
Jesus - the characteristic sign worn to this day by members
of the Passionist Congregation throughout the world.
Martin
follows the footsteps of St. Paul of the Cross as he journeyed
from northern Italy to Rome seeking the Pope's approval for
his new order. Martin also visits Monte Argentario, a place
of great beauty where Paul found a quiet life of solitude
and meditation. Paul's life had such an impact on those that
met him that the cause to make him a saint began just 15 months
after his death.
